Welcome to our web site, we hope you find it helpful and informative. Oakwood School is part of the Oakwood Young People’s Centre situated at the Northern General Hospital in Sheffield. It is a sub-regional resource offering specialist care for those young people needing Tier 4, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services
The school offers education for teenagers on Oakwood unit who are experiencing short-term emotional and behavioural difficulties. A range of therapeutic interventions from the multi disciplinary team is made available to the young person and their family as part of their treatment plan.
Oakwood closure celebration
Have you been a family or pupil who has been to Oakwood over the last 25 years? In September the school and Unit will be closing and moving upto Beighton Community Hospital.We will then be known as Becton School. On Wednesday 21 st July between 3.30 and 5.30pm, we will be inviting past and present staff and patients to a goodbye afternoon tea in the Oakwood garden. All will be welcome!!
